Joyce Wheeler is a dedicated passionate professional with over 40 years of experience in the provision of social and clinical services, most of which was provided one-on-one to individuals young and elderly, and in communities where resources for basic survival were lacking.
Joyce hails from California where she completed both her primary and secondary education. She is a graduate of Arizona State University (ASU), where she acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Social Services and a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), with a specialization in social and clinical services. She also attended Florida State University (FSU), where she was all but dissertation (ABD) for a doctorate in Adult Education/Administration and Supervision.
Her 40 year career extended across several States and with Federal, County, public and private entities. She offered skills in organizational development, operations, learning strategies, empowered learning, and training techniques. It was her desire to use her skills and experiences to make a meaningful impact, and that those skills and experiences would become a catalyst for change in the many resource lacking communities where she worked.
Joyce held positions such as Social Science Analyst, program consultant, Public Health Advisor, Management Consultant and Development Training Specialist, as well as teacher, student advisor, school clinical nursing assistant.
Joyce and her husband were co-owners and managers of 2 businesses. One business provided drug training from a cultural perspective throughout the Southeast to both private and government agencies. They authored hands on manuals that provided one-on-one techniques. The second business provides coaching and mentoring for individuals wanting to increase their financial capabilities.
